Anxiety and stress are the symptoms of Stress Disorder. Some people who have developed a tendency towards Stress Disorder may suffer from more serious conditions such as Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Depression, Alcoholism and Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD). In all these cases the condition may progress to other conditions. Thus causes more serious damage to the body’s function as it is associated with a number of health problems.

Stress is related to various social, emotional and physical activities that cause immense stress and anxiety to the person. When we experience a great deal of stress in our life. The body starts to produce hormones that disrupt normal functioning.

Stress is generally caused by higher demands placed on the person to perform. In order to perform better in a given situation, the person has to exert more effort and focus becomes a victim of stress.

The physical problems caused by Stress Disorder can include hypertension, heart problems, stroke, hair loss, abdominal pain, heart disease, digestive disorders, skin problems, digestive diseases, cancer, infertility, body and joint pains, blood clots, loss of eyesight, spinal cord injuries, memory loss, personality changes, and post-traumatic stress disorder. These physical conditions are major health problems.

There are many forms of post-traumatic stress disorder. There are many causes of the same. Some of the causes are witnessing the death of a loved one, experiencing physical and/or sexual abuse. Or witnessing or experiencing violence, witnessing serious incidents or trauma such as murder, rape, or accident, being involved in an accident, and witnessing violence and fear in the workplace.

How To Treat Traumatic Stress Disorder?

In order to treat post-traumatic stress disorder, the person suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder must overcome the situation that triggered the anxiety and stress. The person must be made to overcome his fear and be able to deal with it. He must be made to face his past trauma and understand that there are positive aspects to his past experience.

This is treated by seeking treatment at the doctors’ office and attending counseling sessions. By undergoing counseling, the person is able to re-educate his brain and eliminate negative thinking and interpretation of events.

Many professionals believe that different forms of anxiety disorders, such as panic attacks, depression, and PTSD, are caused by experiences in life. Although not all of the causes of anxiety and stress are known, many studies have proven that people are biologically predisposed to these disorders.


Stress disorder can be very threatening to your health and can sometimes lead to serious illness. To prevent post-traumatic stress disorder and other related disorders, you must find effective ways to deal with your anxiety and stress and strive to live a healthy life.
